Cupcake Birthday

This is a card I made recently for my nephew’s 2nd birthday….. what a fun age!

Ben had 2 parties (one early when out-of-town grandparents were visiting & one for all of his local friends).  I am not local but did see him not long before the first party.  Since I wasn’t making it in person to the party I wanted to make a really neat card to make up for it.

I am a fan of on facebook which means that a few times a day I get a new card as inspiration in my news feed along with my friends’ updates.  This card came up one day & I fell in love & just had to recreate it!

Here is my version.  To create it I used a background stamp on the ballet blue paper (SU Sprinkles), Deja Views paper for the printed background and lots of other goodies all listed below.  I hope you enjoy it & thinks it’s as YUMMY as I did!

Inkadinkado Birthday Cupcake (97628) clear stamps

Deja Views fresh print CHERRY paper

Sakura Quickie Glue (glue pen)

Doodlebug Sugar Coating

Nestabilities Scallops & Circles

EK Success Corner Rounder punch

Fiskars paper crimper

Stampin’ Up!

  • Sprinkles stamp set
  • Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Rose Red & Ballet Blue paper
  • Chocolate Chip ribbon
  • Eyelet Border Punch
  • Jumbo Eyelets
  • Assorted markers
