December is getting away from me! I kept up to date with DDaily for a few days (on paper, if not the blog); and stayed up to date picking/editing/printing for half the month. I have been a bit sick this week & between that, last minute shopping, parties & of course a snow day I didn’t get much of anything done! Yesterday I realized I hadn’t started the calendar I make each year for my in-laws (I did send my own mother the supplies to make her own already). Historically I have done the Basic Grey calendar kit, but this year they didn’t make one!
I improvised, and it was SO much easier! I literally made this thing during 1 grocery shopping trip & about 2 hours today (Kevin took Andy to the store with him -I didn’t go that would have been silly!). I used the Graphic 45 8×8 Easel Album, part of their place in time paper line and then wandered through The Scrapbook Page and picked out two sheets for each month. I cut most of those in half & send a 6×12 to my mom, kept the other for myself.
Looking through it again I see I need something on the top left of the August page, but other than that I am calling it done! I didn’t do alot of embelishments extras – an 8×8 with room for a 4×6 print isn’t a whole lot of room when you get right down to it. On most of the pages I put a 4.25 x 6.25″ photo mat for my MIL. She prints pictures as the year goes on & adds them (I also didn’t full adhere anything that would lay over the photo when it is in place so she can tuck them under).
Enjoy looking & have a Merry Christmas!
ps… I just spent 20 minutes trying to make this gallery put January & February after the cover & am now giving up! 🙂
